Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking an entry level Software Test Technician in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The role involves performing audits and tests of software products according to test plans, debugging defects, and preparing product evaluation reports.

It requires learning company policies and working under supervision. The candidate will perform both automated and manual testing, assist in writing test procedures, and support software documentation and RTM updates.

Qualifications

• AS degree or technical school credentials or equivalent experience required.
• 0-2 years of software development or related field experience.
• DoD 8570 Baseline Certification with IAT Level I within 6 months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Perform formal and informal software testing to verify quality and reliability for product requirements.
• Conduct both automated and manual testing of applications.
• Create and execute test assets, report errors, and analyze results.
• Assist in writing/updating software test procedures and documentation.
• Support requirements specifications and RTM updates.
• Assist with OS security patches and related maintenance.
