Saalex is seeking a Junior Software Quality Assurance Analyst & Tester to join our Ridgecrest, CA team. This onsite, full-time role focuses on validating software quality for warfighter training tools and systems, aiming to build a long-term career in QA and testing.

The role involves test planning, execution, defect tracking, and working with hardware/software integration to ensure secure, compliant fleet deployments. Active clearance is required or pursued as part of the program.

Qualifications

• Less than 3 years of software testing or related IT experience.
• Performs testing duties under oversight of senior staff to learn advanced testing methodologies.
• Must possess a BA/BS degree OR an applicable basic certification.

Responsibilities

• Test Execution: Develop and execute software tests to identify problems and root causes.
• System Modifications: Test software modifications for real-world deployment and fleet readiness.
• Defect Tracking: Document defects in bug-tracking systems and report to developers.
• Regression Testing: Perform retesting to ensure defects are resolved without impacting other functionalities.
• Reporting: Prepare test reports and present findings to stakeholders, ensuring cybersecurity and functional safety.
