Job summary

Neural Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Platform team responsible for AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters supporting AI capabilities. You will help maintain a secure foundation for AI services and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 3 years of relevant experience with a technical degree, or 7 years without. Location is Columbia, MD with TS/SCI clearance expected for sensitive workloads. Salary range is competitive.

Qualifications

Software Engineer

We're seeking a dedicated software engineer to join our Platform team, which is responsible for the AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters that support all AI capabilities within Neural Solutions. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing the secure foundation on which our organization's AI services operate.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting the organization’s AI capabilities (AWS, Kubernetes).


• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for repeatable, reliable deployments.


• Configure and use observability tooling to monitor the health and performance of production services.


• Support certificate management and adhere to established security best practices for AI systems and data.


• Collaborate with other teams in the organization to provision and configure infrastructure dependencies.


• Diagnose and assist in resolving production infrastructure issues.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with Python or another modern programming language.


• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud service providers.


• Understanding of containerization concepts and tooling such as Docker.


• Able to learn new technologies quickly.


• Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions.

Nice To Have

• Experience with AWS services like EKS, Terraform, and IAM.


• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm/Kustomize.


• Experience with Argo CD and/or other CI/CD frameworks.


• Knowledge of the Elastic Stack (Kibana), Grafana/Prometheus, or similar observability tools and practices.


• Understanding of certificate management.


• Prior experience supporting cloud-native architecture or maintaining production software and infrastructure.


• Familiarity with LLMs and AI hosting concepts.
