Job summary

Belvedere Trading is seeking a Software Engineer to join our downtown Chicago team. You will develop our high-performance, low-latency trading systems and collaborate across engineering to deliver robust software used by traders daily.

You will participate in our BTU learning curriculum and gain exposure to finance and trading concepts while contributing to a fast-paced technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with an object-oriented programming language such as C++, C#, or Java.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and low-latency design.
• Willingness to learn finance and trading concepts through Belvedere Trading University (BTU).
• Ability to relocate to Chicago and work on-site at downtown location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the proprietary trading software platform used by traders daily.
• Design, implement, and debug complex low-latency trading applications.
• Balance optimization and readability to create efficient, maintainable code.
• Ensure software meets requirements and adheres to coding standards with automated tests.
• Communicate with project managers and leadership to plan work strategies.
• Collaborate in a team environment to drive innovation in technology and finance.
• Participate in the BTU program to gain knowledge about trading systems.
