Job summary

Henssler Financial, an SEC-registered investment adviser based in Kennesaw, Georgia, seeks a Junior Software Developer to join the Information Technology team. You will help develop, maintain, and enhance internal applications, client-facing tools, and system integrations that support financial planning, investment management, and family office services.

This role offers an early-career developer a path to strengthening technical skills while collaborating with a seasoned lead and business

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–2 years of professional software development experience.
• Familiarity with Python, TypeScript/React, or Rust.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and Git.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and validating AI-generated code.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or with a team.
• Ability to pass a background check for an SEC-registered adviser.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain internal software applications and integrations.
• Write clean, well-documented code following coding standards.
• Gather requirements and translate them into technical specs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and support tickets promptly.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement.
• Support data integrations across portfolio management, CRM, financial planning, and custodial platforms.
• Assist with database design, schemas, queries, and reporting.
• Stay current on frameworks, security practices, and tools used in financial services technology.
