Overview

• This is not a remote position; it will be based at our Piada Support Center, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.
• Must reside in Columbus, Ohio, or the surrounding area. No relocation packages will be provided.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

The Junior Software Engineer role involves developing, maintaining, and improving Piada’s websites, internal analytics dashboard, and point-of-sale systems to enhance our technical infrastructure. Responsibilities include maintaining menu management systems, managing third-party applications, assisting stores with POS issues, and collaborating with internal teams to leverage technology for solving business challenges. You will also serve as the primary contact for guests regarding online orders, gift cards, Piada Rewards, and other inquiries.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain online, mobile, and internal software platforms.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create content on mypiada.com.
• Work with other departments to develop solutions and integrations between platforms.
• Manage user accounts in cloud-based software.
• Maintain and update menu items as menu changes occur.
• Support stores with point-of-sale issues.
• Respond to guest questions regarding online ordering, gift cards, Piada Rewards, and other concerns via designated email addresses.
• Provide timelines and roadmaps for development projects and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet emerging opportunities and challenges.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent certification.
• At least 2 years of full-stack development experience, preferably with:
• Ruby on Rails
• JavaScript
• HTML/CSS
• C#
• Linux server maintenance
• Understanding of user experience principles.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail.
• Availability to work nights and weekends to support store operations, including menu launches and software deployments.
