Job summary

MetaPhase Consulting is seeking a Jr-Software Engineer to work onsite at its Reston, VA headquarters four days a week. You will collaborate with customers and mission users to translate needs into deployable cloud-native solutions using AWS/Azure, React, TypeScript, Python, and infrastructure as code.

You will prototype, build, test, and operate production capabilities, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and apply AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while ensuring secure engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience in cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS or Azure and cloud services.
• Ability to debug across application, API, database, cloud, and deployment layers.
• U.S. Citizenship required; located in Washington, DC metro area and able to work onsite in Reston four days a week.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers and mission users to understand operational challenges and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Rapidly prototype, build, test, and deploy capabilities using cloud-native architectures and modern development frameworks.
• Design, develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and improve application functionality across front-end, back-end, data, API, and cloud service layers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated tests, observability, security controls, and deployment workflows.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, testing, and operational workflows with quality controls.
