Job summary

MetaPhase Consulting seeks a Jr-Software Engineer to work directly with customers and mission users, translating challenges into practical solutions. You will prototype, deploy, and operate cloud-native capabilities while applying modern engineering practices and AI-assisted tooling.

Based in Reston, VA, you will engage across front-end, back-end, data, and API layers, contributing to secure, observable, and reliable software delivery in a challenging client environment. U.S.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, integrating, or supporting modern applications in a cloud environment.
• Working knowledge of AWS or Azure, including compute, networking, IAM, storage, monitoring, and security fundamentals.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software development practices.
• Must be located in the Washington, DC metro area and available to work from MetaPhase headquarters in Reston, Virginia four days a week.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Understand operational challenges with customers and translate them into technical solutions.
• Prototype, build, test, and deploy capabilities using cloud-native architectures and APIs.
• Design, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot application functionality across layers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated tests.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and operations.
