TETRAHED INC. is hiring a Junior Software Engineer in Washington. This full-time role targets recent graduates or early-career engineers to develop real-world, high-scale systems with Java and/or Python.

You will work with experienced engineers, contribute to production code, and grow in a fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment. Responsibilities include delivering features end-to-end, participating in code reviews, and applying best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 0-2 years of professional software development experience (internships, co-ops, or strong academic projects count)
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with version control (Git), basic Linux/Unix commands, and software development lifecycle
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• OPT (F-1) visa status or eligibility preferred; we support OPT candidates

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software features using Java and/or Python
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows engineering best practices
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
• Learn and apply leadership principles and operational excellence practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes
