Visionist Inc. seeks a Junior Software Engineer focused on AI to join our TS/SCI program in the Columbia, MD area.

You will develop agentic Python integrations leveraging multiple AI models, APIs, and data sources in production, building agentic workflows with modern frameworks such as PydanticAI, LangGraph, and DeepAgents. You will collaborate with mission stakeholders to gather requirements, develop effective technical solutions, and test workflows with our software engineers to ensure robust

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience substitute
• 3 years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency with Python handling JSON and REST APIs
• Experience using HTTP-based APIs for data access
• Familiarity with AI development concepts including prompt engineering and tool calling
• Experience with Git and Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence)
• Ability to present data analyses to customers

Requirements for your new career…

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 3 years of experience in Software Engineering
• Experience with Python, particularly handling JSON, interacting with REST APIs, and manipulating data
• Experience leveraging HTTP-based APIs to access data through queries
• Experience with AI development concepts, including prompt engineering, context management, structured outputs, and tool/function calling
• Familiarity with Git for software source control and Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
• Familiarity with presenting data analysis results to customers

Salary range: $115,000 - $135,000
