Job summary

Omniscius seeks a Junior Software Developer to join an established, high-performing team supporting mission-critical security applications in a fully on-site role at Annapolis Junction, MD. You will contribute to sustainment, modernization, and enhancements across the enterprise software landscape.

The role covers front-end and back-end development, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and production support.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least three years of software development experience.
• Seven years of software development experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a development team.
• Willingness to attend government briefings/locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js and related technologies.
• Support full SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Develop reliable, scalable, user-focused software solutions.
• Identify improvements to functionality, performance, maintainability, and UX.
• Support modernization initiatives for sustainment systems.
• Lead assigned tasks and projects with technical leads and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement effective technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
• Attend meetings/briefings at government locations as required.

This position will contribute to the sustainment, enhancement, and modernization of applications that support essential operational functions across the enterprise.

The Junior Software Developer will work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to front-end and back-end development, system enhancements, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and production support. Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least three (3) years of software development or software engineering experience.
• Seven (7) years of software development or software engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Experience working with front-end technologies, including JavaScript.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a development team.
• Must be willing to attend meetings and briefings at government locations.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with AWS.
• Experience working as part of an Agile development team.
• Experience using Git for source code management.
• Experience with Node.js, AngularJS, Angular, Vue.js, or comparable JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products.
• Experience with NGINX/EngineX.
• Experience with Docker, containerization, MongoDB, or cloud-native application environments.

Clearance Requirement

Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
