Job summary

Allyon is seeking a Junior SOC Analyst to join the 24/7 SOC supporting the Defense Finance & Accounting Service in Indianapolis, IN. You will monitor, analyze, and respond to cyber events, working under supervision to meet performance objectives and defend mission-critical systems.

Ideal candidates have DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and 1+ years in a SOC, with opportunities for professional growth within a federal-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• Minimum 3+ years of incident handling, forensics, sensor alert tracking, or Cybersecurity case management.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in a SOC.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required (Security+ or similar).

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, detect, and respond to cyber events and incidents under supervision.
• Apply processes and methodologies to meet cyber performance objectives.
• Analyze trends and emerging tech for program modernization.
• Configure cyber systems to meet user requirements.
• Support hardware and software acquisitions as needed.
• Work in a 24/7 SOC environment at the DFAS facility in Indianapolis.
• Prepare reports and documentation to communicate findings.
• Recommend improvements to strengthen security posture.
• Collaborate with team members to mitigate threats.
