Job summary

Printfresh is seeking a Junior Sleepwear Designer to support the sleepwear team in bringing joyful, print-forward collections to life. The role translates seasonal concepts into production-ready apparel through CADs, colorways, embroidery and print layouts, sample review, and development follow-through.

This is an early-career, full-time in-house role based in our Philadelphia office, Monday–Friday. You will collaborate across design, product development, and production to keep development

Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of sleepwear, intimates, apparel or fashion-design experience; internships or freelance experience considered
  • Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience creating apparel CADs, technical flats, and artwork mockups
  • Strong eye for color, print, scale, proportion, and detail
  • Foundational understanding of garment construction and the apparel-development process
  • Highly organized, proactive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Interest in expressive, print-led, and size-inclusive design
  • Portfolio demonstrating relevant apparel-design work required
  • Experience with tech packs, embroidery, PLM systems, sample commenting, or overseas development is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create and update technical flats and construction sketches
  • Develop print minibodies, artwork mockups, and print placements
  • Assist with embroidery layouts, placement diagrams, scale, and color callouts
  • Participate in proto and sample reviews and prepare clear design comments
  • Track revisions, approvals, samples, and open development items
  • Create and maintain tech packs in partnership with Product Development and Technical Design
  • Keep seasonal files, physical working boards, line plans, and presentation decks accurate and current
  • Collaborate with Print and CAD, Product Development, Technical Design, Production, and Merchandising to keep seasonal development organized and on schedule

Job description

The Junior Sleepwear Designer supports the sleepwear team in bringing Printfresh's joyful, print-forward collections to life. This hands-on role will help translate seasonal concepts into accurate, production-ready apparel through CADs, colorways, embroidery and print layouts, sample review, and development follow-through.

This is a strong opportunity for an early-career designer who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a creative, print-led, and size-inclusive brand.

This is a full-time, in-house position, working out of our Philadelphia office M-F.
