Qualifications

  • Recent or soon‑to‑be graduates with relevant skills, little or no professional experience.
  • Preferred associate's or bachelor degree in business administration, management, accounting, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

  • Contractual change control related to cost and time.
  • Programme monitoring and progress meetings.
  • Payment certification and cash flow forecast.
  • Claims administration.
  • Develop, process and implement contractual documents and change notices promptly.
  • Administrate contracts per general terms and conditions.
  • Maintain contract registers per project instructions.
  • Drive deliverables and inputs from quantity surveyors.
  • Management of bonds/guarantees and close‑out.

Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Site Contracts Administrator. Reporting to the Project Delivery Group, you will be assigned to support a project in Valmy, NV, but your home office location will be Salt Lake City, UT.

Qualifications:
  • Roles at this level are filled by recent or soon to be university/college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills
  • Preferred associate's or bachelor’ degree in business administration, management and supervision, accounting, engineering, or relevant discipline
  • Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
As the successful candidate, you will:
  • Contractual change control relating to cost and time
  • Programme monitoring and progress meetings
  • Payment certification and cash flow forecast
  • Claims administration
  • Develop, process and implement contractual documents and change notices in a timely manner
  • Administrate contracts in accordance with general requirements of contractual terms and conditions
  • Maintain various contract registers and as per project specific instructions
  • Drive the deliverables and inputs as required from the quantity surveyors
  • Management of bonds/guarantees
  • Close-out
You bring to the role:
  • Extensive experience in an EPCM project environment on capital projects specifically in the administration of construction and services contracts.
  • Contracts/Legal relating training.
  • Experience with drafting and execution of commercial terms and conditions and an understanding of accompanying legal implications.
  • Experience working on large construction sites.
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes and corporate governance principles
  • Relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite (including remote locations)
  • Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset
