Job summary

Senesco Marine LLC in North Kingstown, RI, seeks an Entry-Level Shipyard Field Engineer to learn shipbuilding hands-on while supporting Engineering, Production, Planning and Quality teams.

You will interpret drawings, document conditions, assist with field questions, and help with installations, testing and turnover, gaining practical knowledge of fabrication, erection and vessel delivery.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support production personnel by interpreting drawings, specifications, bills of material, vendor information, and work packages under supervision.
• Observe shipbuilding sequence and trade interfaces including fabrication, module assembly, vessel erection, piping, electrical installation, machinery, outfitting, testing, and commissioning.
• Perform regular field walkdowns to verify installed conditions, document findings, and communicate to supervisor or engineer.
• Assist with resolving routine design-to-field questions and seek clarification when needed.
• Mark up drawings and maintain red lines for as-built documentation; support field changes into project records.
• Assist in planning system routing and equipment installation coordinating structure, piping, electrical, HVAC, and access.
