Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a junior Security Analyst to join the growing cybersecurity team in a fast-paced environment. You will manage and resolve security tickets, support IAM provisioning and deprovisioning, and assist with day-to-day security operations to reduce a large backlog.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0–2 years of cybersecurity, security operations, help desk, or IT support experience.
• Foundational understanding of IAM, AD, and Entra ID.
• Knowledge of access controls and least-privilege principles.
• Familiarity with security monitoring and alert investigation.

Responsibilities

• Review, prioritize, and resolve security-related tickets within established SLAs.
• Manage the ticket queue and backlog (approx. 80 requests).
• Respond to user access requests, account modifications, and security service requests.
• Support IAM processes, including provisioning and deprovisioning, access reviews, and RBAC.
• Investigate security alerts and escalate potential threats to senior staff.
• Assist with endpoint security monitoring and basic incident triage.
• Perform vulnerability management support, review scan results and remediation tracking.
• Maintain documentation of security procedures, tickets, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, and Applications teams to resolve issues.
• Support security audits, compliance initiatives, and evidence collection.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
• Participate in security projects and initiatives as assigned.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Security Analyst to join our growing cybersecurity team. This entry-level role will be responsible for managing and resolving security-related tickets, responding to alerts, supporting access management requests, and assisting with day-to-day security operations. The primary objective of this position is to help reduce and eliminate the current backlog of security requests while enabling senior cybersecurity team members to focus on strategic initiatives, security improvements, and threat defense activities. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, strong troubleshooting skills, and a desire to build a career in security operations. Key Responsibilities Review, prioritize, and resolve security-related tickets within established service level agreements (SLAs). Manage the cybersecurity team's ticket queue and work through a backlog of approximately 80 outstanding requests. Respond to user access requests, account modifications, and security-related service requests. Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and role-based access control activities. Investigate security alerts and elevate potential threats to senior security personnel when necessary. Assist with endpoint security monitoring and basic incident triage activities. Perform vulnerability management support activities, including reviewing scan results and tracking remediation efforts. Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures, tickets, and resolutions. Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, and Application Teams to resolve security-related issues. Support security audits, compliance initiatives, and evidence collection efforts. Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to increase operational efficiency. Participate in security projects and initiatives as assigned.

Compensation:

$22/hr to $30/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
