Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Dearborn, MI seeks a Junior SDET Engineer to support automation and validation for OTA and subsystem testing environments. You will execute automated and manual tests, develop Python automation, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve test coverage.

This onsite role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field and 2–5 years in software testing or automation; experience with automotive or embedded systems is a plus, along with Git, Jenkins, and Python.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/SE/CE/IT)
2–5 years of software testing, automation, validation, or quality engineering
Experience in automotive, embedded systems, connected vehicles, telecommunications, aerospace, medical devices, or similar environments
Exposure to OTA, ECU, embedded software, or connected vehicle testing preferred

Responsibilities

Execute automated and manual validation activities.
Develop and maintain Python-based test automation scripts.
Support test environment readiness and defect reproduction.
Analyze logs and document test results, defects, and findings.
Create technical documentation and test evidence.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve automation coverage and test efficiency
