Job summary

Verisk Maplecroft seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to develop and maintain automated tests for insurance market software, under guidance from senior SDETs. The role emphasizes automation with occasional manual testing in a hybrid work setting.

Applicants should have experience with OO languages (C#/Java) and QA methodologies, plus a degree in CS/IS or related field, and be prepared to work in Lehi, Utah.

Qualifications

• Basic to mid-level experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, etc.).
• Good understanding of testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Able to operate in a team environment or independently as needed.
• Degree in computer science or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports execution of test plans, primarily automated tests and occasionally manual tests.
• Develops understanding of the automation framework in use.
• Assists with creating and maintaining the automation test suite and reporting on status.
• Provides estimates to Sr. SDETs and flags any risks to meeting targets.
• Identifies and tracks defects toward resolution within the QA team.
• Maintains manual testing responsibilities while transitioning to automation tasks as needed.
• Must be able to work hybrid in-office two days per week.
• Completes responsibilities per annual Performance Plan and any special projects.
