Job summary

Pacifica Services, Inc. is seeking a Scheduler to support Senior and Project Schedulers in reviewing contractor Baseline Schedules and Monthly Updates according to LAUSD templates, and to assist in creating reports in Excel and P6.

Requires 1 year of scheduling experience for Owner/GC on educational facilities or public works, a degree in engineering/construction management, proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of full-time professional scheduling experience for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably on educational facilities or public works projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (latest version) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review contractor Baseline Schedules and Monthly Updates using LAUSD templates.
  • Create and populate schedule reports in Excel and P6.
  • Develop Earned Value curves per LAUSD EVA guidelines.
  • Perform QA/QC on schedules for contract conformance and data integrity.
  • Update master program schedules with as-built dates and forecast dates.

Job description

  • Work under the supervision of Senior Schedulers and Project Schedulers to provide construction schedule review comments for contractor-generated Baseline Schedules and Monthly Schedule updates based on LAUSD review templates.
  • Assist the scheduling team in creating and populating various schedule related reports in Excel and P6 software.
  • Create Earned Value Curves based on LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
  • Perform QA/QC on contractors’ schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope and requirements.
  • Analyze schedules for proper use of program level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform QA/QC on P6 program schedules and validate logic ties to ensure conformance with scheduling guidelines for various project types.
  • Update the master program schedule with as-built start and finish dates while coordinating input from various Facilities teams on projected/forecast sequential start/finish dates.

Required Education
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, engineering, or construction management

  • Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
