You’ll learn RPGLE (free-format RPG), CL, DDS, SQL, and DB2 for i while contributing to ongoing business applications. Strong communication and a willingness to learn are essential for this growth role.

Qualifications

• 1 year coding in RPGLE or equivalent hands-on experience desired.
• Exposure to IBM i, AS400, or legacy business systems.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic software development lifecycle practices.
• Knowledge of Java, Python, or C# is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply RPGLE to maintain, enhance, and debug business applications on IBM i (AS400).
• Write, test, and document code under senior developers.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving application issues reported by end users.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards.
• Work with SQL/DB2 for i to query and update data.
• Collaborate with other developers to translate requirements into working solutions.
• Continue building proficiency in RPGLE and related IBM i tools through hands-on work and formal training.
