Job summary

IntusCare seeks a Junior Coding Associate (Contractor) to support the Risk Adjustment team with State Encounter coding in a structured, quality-controlled environment. This entry-level role focuses on accurate and compliant coding of assigned encounters under supervision.

This remote United States position offers 40 hours per week, 9:00am–5:00pm in your timezone, and a $24.00 hourly rate. Active certification preferred; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Active coding certification preferred (CPC, CCS, RHIT, or CRC).
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and diagnosis coding.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes.

Responsibilities

• Apply CPT and E&M codes in accordance with AMA standards for state encounter submission.
• Ensure accurate code selection reflects complexity and medical decision making documented by the provider.
• Document coding decisions using established templates and tools.
• Complete daily/weekly coding volumes within defined workflows and deadlines.
