The role supports the LAS mission by developing prototype applications and translating research into practical capabilities, collaborating with government, industry, and academia to advance analytical tools.

You will set up computing infrastructure, manage data, document code, test software, and help maintain LAS computing environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or computer science with relevant experience or a BS with several years of experience.
• Experience architecting, designing, and building complex software systems in multiple languages.
• Proficiency with XML/RDF and cloud/web-services technologies.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with government, industry, and academic partners to develop prototype applications.
• Analyze requirements, conceive innovative solutions, and assist with technical matters.
• Conduct self-directed applied research to translate ideas into working prototypes.
• Set up computing infrastructure to support analysis efforts.
• Perform data management tasks including cleaning, preprocessing, and data security.
• Document software code, processes, and workflows for knowledge transfer.
• Test and debug software to ensure alignment with user requirements.
• Assist with managing the LAS computing environment.
