Junior Research/Data Analyst (PT, HubZone)

Position Summary

Blue Sky seeks experienced Business Data Analysts responsible for working on various projects, supporting other departments, updating documentation, managing multiple projects, providing follow-ups, maintaining records, entering data, and updating contact databases. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, comfortable with spreadsheets, and possess strong research and data skills. This role is especially suitable for individuals from academic or government-related disciplines.

This is a remote, part-time position (~10 hours/week) with flexible hours, requiring at least half of the weekly hours during business hours for communication.

Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities

1. Conduct research supporting project needs, including data collection, validation, and synthesis.
2. Analyze data sets using Excel and document findings clearly.
3. Create and maintain spreadsheets to organize research data.
4. Collaborate with team members for data-driven decisions.
5. Assist with ad hoc data tasks and administrative support.
6. Provide monthly results reports.

Minimum Qualifications

• Familiarity with academic or institutional research processes.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting/filtering, tables).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Located in or eligible under HubZone requirements.

Highly Desired Skills

• Background in Business Administration, Government, Public Policy, or related fields.
