Spitfire Capital LLC is a long-term, value-oriented investor in small and mid-cap public companies with a seventeen year history of outperformance vs. the market. Our investment approach combines elements of private equity, value and public market investing and is grounded in extensive primary research including significant company and industry due diligence.

We seek a highly motivated individual to join our investment team as a junior research analyst in the summer of 2026. The ideal candidate will be a 2026 graduate with a relevant degree (e.g., business or economics) or a recent graduate with experience in accounting, management consulting, investment banking, investment management, or private equity.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven interest in investing; excellent analytical skills; an ability to think independently; a passion for continuous learning; effective communication skills and a formidable work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth due diligence of companies and industries based on primary research including calls with relevant company and industry executives.
  • Make investment recommendations on portfolio companies based on analysis of relevant news, events, and third-party research.
  • Originate and recommend high quality investment ideas based on screening and extensive independent research.
