Starr Insurance Companies seeks a Junior Reinsurance Accountant to support facultative premium handling, process reinsurance accounts, and perform reporting and reconciliation tasks.

You will assist in guiding the processing unit, escalate issues to management, liaise with operations, and help ensure data integrity and timely cash flows for ceded reinsurance. This role is based in New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in insurance/reinsurance accounting preferred.
• 0–5 years of relevant insurance/reinsurance accounting experience.
• Knowledge of reinsurance accounting principles preferred.

Responsabilités

• Produce quarterly reports for assigned accounts to brokers and reinsurers.
• Support facultative premium process and payments.
• Liaise with operations, reinsurance services and business units to book and pay ceded facultative premiums.
• Ensure data integrity by reconciling reinsurance systems, GLs and bank accounts.
