Job summary

Valiant Solutions seeks a Junior Red Team Tester to support authorized red team and penetration testing across government customers’ systems and applications. You will identify vulnerabilities, validate controls, document attack paths, and deliver actionable findings using MITRE ATT&CK.

This role offers 100% remote work with ad hoc travel to the Washington DC area. Required: 3–5 years in the field, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and certifications such as Security+, CEH, eJPT, PNPT, or OSCP.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of red team/penetration testing experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Industry certifications preferred (Security+, CEH, eJPT, PNPT, or OSCP).
• Hands‑on cybersecurity experience in pen testing, vulnerability assessment, or ethical hacking.
• Familiar with MITRE ATT&CK and attacker TTPs.
• Experience with offensive security tools and Windows/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Support authorized red team and penetration testing engagements across systems, networks, apps, APIs, and cloud.
• Conduct vulnerability validation and exploitation under ROE.
• Assist with reconnaissance, enumeration, attack-path analysis, and post-exploitation.
• Perform web app, network, API, and infrastructure security testing.
• Document testing procedures, evidence, vulnerabilities, attack paths, and results.
• Retest identified vulnerabilities after remediation.
