Job summary

CommIT Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Junior Red Hat Linux Engineer to join the team in Quantico, VA. You will support ACAS for GEN, operating and maintaining the infrastructure, and training operators and IA personnel to operate the ACAS tool.

The role requires strong Red Hat Linux skills, STIG/IAVA experience, and 3+ years in Linux administration within enterprise environments. Expect DoD security clearance and DoD 8570 alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience with RedHat Linux and DoD cybersecurity tools and processes (STIGs, IAVA).
• RHEL 7.x or greater in an enterprise environment and troubleshooting SSH.
• 3+ years supporting, configuring, and administering Linux systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and patch operating systems and applications per DISA STIGs for ACAS.
• Assess and document ACAS implementations across GEN networks.
• Design ACAS solutions with IP, FQDN, and location details.
• Create network diagrams and list hardware/software needs with Visio.
• Maintain Nessus scanners and PVS connectivity with Security Center.
• Develop and update SOPs in the SharePoint portal.
• Provide reports and build Linux servers from provided ISO images.
