Job summary

Akuna Capital in Illinois is seeking a Junior Quantitative Risk Analyst to join our Risk Department, helping measure and control market and execution risks. You will work with developers to implement risk measures, run automated reports, and support trading system limits in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Finance experience or knowledge of options theory
• Programming experience in Python
• Numerical problem-solving skills
• Independent thinker with attention to detail
• Ability to react quickly to changing market conditions and solve math/coding problems

Responsibilities

• Work with a small Risk team to build protections around Akuna’s trading
• Collaborate with Developers to implement risk measures and automated reporting
• Operate inside Akuna’s automated computational framework
• Develop new ways to quantify risk and performance using market and historical data
• Assist in setting, testing and monitoring of internal, exchange and third-party trading system and positional limits
