Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer at the Cheswick, PA location. You will develop QA data packages, participate in audits, and translate customer requirements into manufacturing instructions. You will support inspectors and operators and analyze production data to identify trends.

The role requires a BS in engineering, DoD eligibility, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Six Sigma belts are preferred, with GD&T knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or related technical degree.
• US citizens per DoD requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Auditing experience is an asset.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt / Green Belt certifications are desired.
• Ability to read and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (ASME Y14.5) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality assurance data packages.
• Participate in internal and external audits, surveillances, and inspections.
• Assist in translation of customer or regulatory requirements into manufacturing instructions.
• Provide technical support to inspectors and operators.
• Perform analysis of production data to create reports and identify trends.
• Participate in the root cause analysis to implement corrective actions as needed.
• Identify potential project or supplier quality issues.
• Review, evaluate, and respond to customer and/or supplier correspondence.
• Strong communication skills within a team to ensure quality standards.
