Job summary

Teledyne Judson Technologies in Pennsylvania seeks a Quality Engineer to maintain the quality management system, perform root-cause analysis, and lead corrective actions in a fast-paced environment.

You will interface with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to ensure transfer of new products to production, support MRB and CAPA activities, and ensure compliance with MIL-STD, IPC, and QMS requirements, with occasional supplier audits.

Qualifications

• Quality Engineering experience.
• Experience with semiconductor processing and/or electronics preferred.
• Experience using quality inspection tools and equipment ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System experience.
• Ability to travel to Supplier’s facility to conduct Quality Audits.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Must be well organized and be able to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
• Experience with ROIC, Infrared Detector Assemblies, and Hybrid Electronics.
• Mastery of ESD and FOD prevention and mitigation.
• Ability to read technical drawings, requirements, Quality Clauses, and SOWs.
• Working knowledge of Configuration Management and Document Control Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, ERP/MRP, and QMS experience.
• DelTek CostPoint experience desired.
• Valid ASQ Certified Quality Engineer – CQE certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Quality System Maintenance and support.
• Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
• Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
• Lead and Support continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system with tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
• Support the development of training to build quality awareness.
• Interface with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new or improved products are in accordance with approved data.
• Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Inspect critical devices to ensure product and process compliance.
• Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
• Ability to lead Material Review Board (MRB) meetings both internal and program level.
• Ability to identity, create, and closeout Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and Preventative Action Reports (PARs) to address non-conformities and opportunities for improvement.
• Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, quality plans, etc.
• Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
• Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
• Familiar with MIL-STD, MIL-PRF, IPC, and J-STD for electronic hybrids.
• Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits.
• Ability to travel to conduct Supplier quality audits.
• Preparation of Certificates of Conformity, QA reports, and Quality presentations.
• Support configuration control system.
• Work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data.
• Other duties may be assigned.
