Job summary

StenTech in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a dependable Junior Quality Control Inspector to verify precision metal components meet customer specifications and quality standards. You will inspect parts at various stages, read blueprints, and document defects, while prioritizing accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires knowledge of precision measuring equipment and blueprints; CNC inspection experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control or inspection is helpful.
• Ability to read blueprints and inspection requirements.
• Knowledge of GD&T is helpful but not required.
• Basic computer skills to enter inspection data.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming, in-process, first article, finished, and outgoing parts for conformance.
• Review inspection paperwork and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects and non-conforming materials.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other tools to verify dimensions.
• Read customer drawings and specifications and interpret inspection criteria.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; support production needs.

Location:Onsite - Hillsboro, ORPosition SummaryStenTech is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Junior Quality Control Inspector to join our team in our Hillsboro, OR facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys hands-on work inspecting precision metal components.Candidate does not need to have all Qualifications but should know what a CNC machine is and how it works. Junior candidates should come prepared to ask questions from senior inspectors who know what to look for and how to inspect parts.Key Responsibilities- Inspect incoming, in-process, first article (first part buyoff), finished, and outgoing metal parts to verify compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.Perform incoming inspections of supplier materials and final inspections of finished products before shipment.Review inspection paperwork, work orders, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and final approval.Identify, document, and communicate defects, discrepancies, and non-conforming materials.Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and product quality.Read and interpret customer blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.Visually inspect products for defects, damage, workmanship issues, and dimensional inconsistencies while handling precision metal components with care.Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications- Previous quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or related experience helpful.Knowledge of precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, etc.Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and inspection requirements.
