Job summary

StenTech in Hillsboro, OR seeks a dependable Junior Quality Control Inspector to join our team. You will inspect metal components, read blueprints, and leverage precision measuring tools to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Able to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and inspection requirements.
• Knowledge of GD&T is helpful.
• Familiarity with CNC machining processes or inspecting machined components is preferred.
• Basic computer skills to enter inspection data and maintain records.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and dimensional discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming, in-process, first article, finished, and outgoing metal parts to verify specifications and production requirements.
• Perform incoming inspections of supplier materials and final inspections of finished products before shipment.
• Review inspection paperwork, work orders, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects and non-conforming materials.
• Use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges) to verify dimensions.
• Read and interpret customer blueprints, drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Visually inspect products for defects and dimensional accuracy while handling components carefully.
• Prioritize tasks and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
