Job summary

Calyx Containers is seeking an entry-level Software Tester to help verify the quality of our web applications before customers. You will work with developers, product owners, and support staff to identify problems, document them clearly, and confirm fixes.

This role is ideal for someone starting a software QA career who is organized, curious, and persistent. No years of experience required; you should be able to reproduce issues step by step and explain them clearly for the fix.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with no prior testing experience required.
• Ability to reproduce bugs step-by-step and clearly describe issues.
• Good organizational skills and curiosity for software quality.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases against web applications across supported browsers on Windows and macOS.
• Write clear, reproducible defect reports including steps to reproduce, expected vs actual results, environment details, and screenshots or screen recordings.
• Help build and maintain test cases and checklists from requirements, user stories, and product documentation.
• Perform regression testing before each release to confirm existing functionality still works.
• Verify fixes and close out defects once they are confirmed resolved.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness discussions.
• Track and report testing progress to give the team an accurate picture of release quality.
• Over time, grow into exploratory testing, accessibility checks, and basic test automation.
