Job summary

DDS Wireless International seeks a motivated student or recent graduate to join our QA team as a Junior QA Specialist for a part-time onsite role in the Vancouver/Redmond area. You will gain hands-on experience with software life-cycle testing, review requirements, write test plans, perform regression testing, and log defects under guidance.

Qualifications

• Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of CS or EE, eligible for a co-op placement.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of QA concepts from coursework or projects.
• Interest in Agile development practices.
• Basic familiarity with SQL and willingness to develop this skill.
• Willingness to learn DDS documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Support software life-cycle testing activities, including reviewing requirements and updating test cases.
• Perform regression testing and document defects clearly for transit products.
• Log defects and track their status with guidance from the QA team.
• Collaborate with software developers to ensure defects are fixed in builds.
• Assist with testing design reviews and test plan creation.
• Learn and contribute to DDS test automation activities as able.
