Job summary

EPAM is seeking a motivated Junior Python AI Developer to build, deploy, and optimize AI agents in production. You will work with senior engineers and customers to deliver intelligent automation using ADK and Python in a hybrid role with 3 onsite days in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities include building AI agent workflows, integrating customer systems via REST APIs, and improving performance. Opportunity to grow in MCP/RAG pipelines and cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of software/technical role experience (internships/projects count).
• Solid Python production-quality coding skills (OOP, logging, testing).
• Hands-on ADK experience building AI agents.
• REST API integrations and JSON familiarity.
• Understanding prompts, context management, tool usage, and model limitations.
• Clear technical communication and ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI agent workflows using ADK and Python.
• Integrate platform with customer systems via REST APIs.
• Evaluate agent behavior and iterate to improve reliability.
• Debug across development and production environments.
• Collaborate with customers and teams to translate requirements into tasks.
• Grow expertise in AI agents and MCP/RAG pipelines.
