We are looking for a Jr. Publicist to support our PR and Copy team with various tasks. Your work will be instrumental in the development and execution of PR plans and strategies to support our growing public relations department. An avid interest in the field partnered with great writing and research skills are very important to us. If you’re well-organized, confident and are able to write brilliant copy, we'd love to meet with you!

• If we decide to move forward in the hiring process, we will request 2-3 press releases written by you without the assistance of AI.

Responsibilities

• Keep and update calendars (editorial, press conferences, events etc.) and media lists
• Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions
• Assist in organizing and execution of events, campaigns etc.
• Conduct research to support PR planning
• Draft and distribute content such as newsletters and releases
• Support relations with stakeholders, media, vendors etc.
• Assist in tracking, reporting and presenting media coverage or PR metrics (e.g. web analytics)
• Invent ways to streamline communication and plan execution
• Undertake general administrative and clerical duties

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as PR assistant or similar position
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to quickly and efficiently coordinate media interviews and information
• Understanding of PR and marketing concepts and practices
• Willingness to follow industry trends and current methods
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Well-organized, flexibility
• An analytical mind with attention to detail
• Outgoing and confident
