Job summary

IntelliGenesis is seeking a Proposal/Technical Writer to support our Business Development and Program Management teams in drafting proposal responses, past performances, technical white papers, and descriptions of technical and management methodologies and processes.

This role also assists Program Management teams in maintaining documentation for administrative, technical, and security compliance in accordance with various ISO, CMMI-, and CMMC requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Technical Writing experience within US Federal Government/Intelligence Community.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with technical understanding of AI/ML and cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 17024, CMMI-DEV, and CMMC.
  • Experience producing documents for non-technical audiences using AP Style.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and produce persuasive content for proposals and related materials.
  • Participate in all phases of the proposal lifecycle from strategy to production.
  • Develop outlines, narratives, win themes, and graphics for proposals.
  • Translate technical input into proposal-ready content with SMEs.

Job Description

Seeking a Proposal/Technical Writer to support our team. The Proposal/Technical Writer will support the Business Development and Program Management teams in drafting proposal responses, past performances, technical white papers, and descriptions of technical and management methodologies and processes. This role also assists Program Management teams in maintaining documentation for administrative, technical, and security compliance in accordance with various ISO, CMMI, and CMMC requirements. The Proposal/Technical Writer will work as part of both internal/external teams and independently under general guidance to develop narrative content, graphics/figures, process documentation, and knowledge management strategies in support of business development, marketing, and sales initiatives.


Responsibilities


  • Write, edit, and produce persuasive content for proposals, sales documents, marketing campaigns and other business development related projects targeted to a wide range of audiences.

  • Participate in all phases of the proposal lifecycle, including proposal strategy planning, content writing and development, internal review, and production, ensuring that all materials are compliant, client-focused, and clearly articulate our compelling business value.

  • Develop outlines, storyboards, narrative content, win themes, and graphics/figures/tables as needed in response to various proposal types (RFPs/RFQs, RFIs, whitepaper requests, data calls, etc.) and sections/volumes (technical, management, past performance, resumes, etc.).

  • Work directly within internal business development teams, technical project staff, and subject matter experts to gather, clarify, and translate technical input into proposal-ready content.

  • Identify, gather, and validate relevant information from multiple sources to enrich proposal content.

  • Organize and format documents (including layout and design) in compliance with applicable requirements.

  • Participate in color team reviews, incorporate feedback, and coordinate additional information gathering as needed to adjudicate questions/comments.

  • Coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects while ensuring adherence to prescribed timelines, content, and compliance requirements.

  • Recommend and develop a variety of technical documentation based on client needs; standardize documentation and proposal processes by creating and implementing templates, SOPs, boilerplate content, and user guides for all pursuit/opportunity types.

  • Maintain, update, and contribute to document libraries and knowledge management systems to enable ease of document storage, retrieval, updates, and reviews.

  • Provide copywriting, document design, and reviews in support of marketing and social media campaigns.

  • Track and evaluate business development opportunities and assist with defining proposal schedules, proposal resource allocation, knowledge management, and deliverables.


Required Skills


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • 3+ years of Technical Writing experience within the US Federal Government/Intelligence Community.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

  • Must have technical understanding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and cybersecurity disciplines.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 17024, CMMI-DEV, and CMMC compliance.

  • Understanding of common DoW contract vehicles, terms and conditions, writing standards, success factors, etc.

  • Experience in production and/or editing of technical documents to include specific experience in writing for non-technical audiences.

  • Fluid technical writing and editing skills, including the use of AP Style and/or government agency-directed style guides.

  • Experience using the latest release of Microsoft Office (or equivalent) products to include MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Planner etc.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, risk-management, and problem-solving skills.


Compensation Range

$70,000 - $80,000


Compensation ranges encompass a total compensation package and are a general guideline only and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, candidate’s scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and alignment with local market data.
