Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • Review and process resident move-outs in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Prepare move-out refunds and related correspondence.
  • Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy.
  • Process electronic payments and accounts payable checks.
  • Support accounts receivable activities.
  • Assist with annual 1099 preparation, mailing, and filing.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, residents, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and accounting projects.
  • As you become fully trained, manage full-cycle accounting for a dedicated portfolio of properties.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Junior Property Accountant to support the accounting functions for a portfolio of client-owned multifamily properties. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational accounting experience who wants to continue developing their skills, gain exposure to property accounting, and eventually take ownership of a dedicated portfolio.

What You’ll Do
