At Tenrik Builders, we build and renovate high-end custom homes that blend craftsmanship, innovation, and Tahoe's unique architectural style. We collaborate with top designers and architects to deliver projects that stand out in quality and precision. While our main core competency is luxury home building, we are expanding into commercial construction with two upcoming projects-a mixed-use remodel and addition, as well as a ground-up mixed-use property in downtown Truckee right on the river.

We're looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our growing team. If you're passionate about both residential and commercial construction, detail-oriented, and eager to develop into a senior leadership role, this is your opportunity to learn from the best while working on exceptional projects in the Truckee/Tahoe area.

The Role

As a Junior Project Manager, you'll support Senior Project Managers and Superintendents in planning, coordinating, and executing high-end residential and commercial construction projects. This is a learning-focused, hands-on role with room for growth into a Senior PM position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Project Coordination - Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
• Subcontractor & Vendor Management - Help coordinate subcontractors, materials, and deliveries to keep projects moving.
• Site Supervision Support - Work alongside Superintendents to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency on-site.
• Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate records, daily logs, and project updates using Procore or similar project management software.
• Client & Team Communication - Assist with updates, scheduling, and problem-solving to keep projects running smoothly.
• Learn & Grow - Develop expertise in high-end residential and commercial construction with mentorship from senior leaders.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 2-5 years in construction, preferably with some exposure to project management. High-end residential and/or commercial experience is a plus.
• Education: A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of scheduling, estimating, reading blueprints, and using construction software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
• Organized & Detail-Oriented: Ability to juggle multiple tasks and keep projects on track.
• Proactive & Hardworking: A self-starter who wants to take on more responsibility and grow in the role.
• Strong Communication Skills: Comfortable working with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
