CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. The role supports planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and project performance for projects of basic complexity.

You will gather progress data, develop cost and resource forecasts, and monitor schedule deliverables while collaborating with project managers and teams. This entry-level position emphasizes training, compliance, and growth in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Entry level knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills and an ability to work well in fast paced environments requiring daily shifting of priorities.
• Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with varying levels of staff, as well as vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and gathers project progress information to update and monitor basic complexity projects.
• Develops, maintains, and analyzes integrated critical path schedules for portions of routine projects.
• Generates earned value reports and discusses observations with the project manager.
• Performs other duties as required.
