Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. You will help monitor schedule, budget, and performance, partnering with project managers and teams to provide timely insights.

The role includes earning value analysis, reporting, and maintaining project documentation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of project management, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
• Entry-level knowledge of project management methodology including budget development and planning.
• Strong teamwork and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Good written and verbal communication with diverse staff and vendors.
• Entry knowledge of Primavera and EcoSys is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and gathers project progress data.
• Develops and analyzes integrated schedules for portions of projects.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and client status updates.
• Uses document management protocols to store and retrieve project documents.
• Performs other duties as required.
