Job summary

Celestica is seeking an Entry Level Production Planner to join our Richardson, TX team. This role provides training under close supervision while performing tasks in production planning, forecasting, and scheduling.

You will consolidate forecasts, input MPS/MRP data, and coordinate shop orders to align with production schedules. Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of experience is typical, along with basic knowledge of ERP and office systems. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of production planning fundamentals, scheduling, MRP techniques and manufacturing control systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan production schedules for designated products.
• Consolidate forecasts and input MPS/MRP data.
• Manage parameter reporting for designated products.
• Ensure alignment of purchase orders with production schedules.
• Assist with End-of-Life analysis and action plans.
• Coordinate shop order releases and material kitting.
• Identify parts shortages and expedite material or substitutions.
• Track shipments to meet commit dates and flag issues.
