Atrium Staffing LLC is seeking a Junior Production Planner to coordinate scheduling for materials, flag risks early, and partner across teams to resolve bottlenecks so customer orders ship on time.

The role is onsite five days a week, with strong emphasis on inventory control, MRP-driven decisions, and cross-functional collaboration to meet delivery targets at global sites.

Responsibilities

• Schedule components and sub-assemblies across production stages to keep deliveries on track.
• Apply inventory policy to set correct stocking levels for finished goods and raw components.
• Respond to MRP signals tied to master schedule, orders, and forecasts.
• Partner with Planning Manager on risk mitigation and backup planning.
• Flag at-risk or late materials to stakeholders before they threaten delivery commitments.
• Monitor shortages and generate shortage tracking reports.
• Maintain ongoing communication with other departments to stay ahead of demand shifts.
• Coordinate with Production and Shipping teams for on-time dispatch.
• Manage flow of materials across international production sites to meet due dates.
• Collaborate with sites to sequence and prioritize build schedules.

Client Overview:

Our client is a company that designs and supplies technical parts used across many industries worldwide. This fast-paced, corporate company satisfies specialty needs for their clients while maintaining a high level of professionalism. They boast a friendly and collaborative culture and are looking to add a Junior Production Planner to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr - $24/hr

Position Overview:

The Junior Production Planner coordinates scheduling for assigned material groups to keep production running smoothly, flags supply risks early, and partners across teams to resolve bottlenecks so customer orders ship on time, all while keeping inventory at target levels. This role also drives cross-functional coordination to speed restocking and hit delivery targets. The Junior Production Planner role is 5 days a week onsite, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities of the Junior Production Planner:

• Schedule components and sub-assemblies across production stages to keep deliveries on track.
• Apply inventory policy to set correct stocking levels for finished goods, in-process items, and raw components.
• Respond to MRP-generated signals tied to the master schedule, customer orders, and demand forecasts.
• Partner with the Planning Manager on risk mitigation and backup planning.
• Flag at-risk or late materials to stakeholders before they threaten delivery commitments.
• Monitor shortages and generate/distribute shortage tracking reports.
• Maintain ongoing communication with other departments to stay ahead of demand shifts and emerging issues.
• Coordinate with the Production and Shipping teams so stock moves out per agreed service levels.
• Manage the flow of materials across the company's international production sites to meet customer due dates.
• Collaborate with production sites to sequence and prioritize build schedules appropriately.
• Prevent shortages by actively managing warehouse inventory positions.
• Work with global production sites to resolve kitting shortages and related issues.
• Partner with the kitting area to resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with production sites on floor stock and bulk material needs ahead of shipment.
• Confirm production sites receive complete raw material lists, shipping paperwork, and electronic drawings needed to run production.
• Work with Manufacturing to stage sub-assemblies for on-time dispatch to production sites according to schedule.

Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Production Planner:

• 1+ years of experience in production, materials handling, vendor coordination, or a related supply chain/operations function.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong math skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical accuracy.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and quick to learn.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Production Planner:

• 2 years of related experience.
• Prior MRP system experience is a strong plus.
• Experience in a corporate setting.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Materials Management is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in any business-related field may be accepted with relevant experience.
