Job summary

Primient in Decatur, IL, is hiring an Engineer 1 for new graduates with a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or related field. This accelerator program offers hands-on learning in manufacturing and chemical engineering, rapid responsibility, and exposure to a range of processes and technologies.

You will work with expert colleagues, progress along the Engineering Ladder from Engineer 1 to Sr. Leader, and contribute to safety, quality, and production improvements while developing data analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of basic chemical unit operations.
• Internships, placements or work experience are useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate safely within manufacturing facilities, with shadowing and potential shift supervision.
• Develop technical expertise in process operations with support from SMEs.
• Own and optimize a assigned process area, monitor performance and implement improvements.
• Conduct data analysis and process improvements to identify trends and efficiency gains.
• Support project execution and system enhancements in line with safety, quality, and operational goals.
• Manage capital projects from initiation to completion under supervision of senior engineers.
