Job summary

CRB in Alabama seeks an Entry-Level Process Engineer to assist in design and engineering of manufacturing facilities and equipment, supporting facility infrastructure and critical utilities. You will perform engineering calculations and help document the process design scope with other disciplines.

You will work under a mentor, with opportunities to participate in studies, design development, drawings, and construction documentation, gaining exposure across project phases in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical or bioprocess engineering
• 0 to 3 years of experience in a design firm setting
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion preferred

Responsibilities

• Supports the documentation of the process design scope in coordination with other disciplines.
• Works closely with other architects, engineers and designers and team members to ensure a coordinated, constructible and complete design.
• Self-checks own work but communicates often with peers and Supervisor.
• Able to work on one or more projects concurrently and manage time effectively.
• Solves complex problems under the direction and supervision of a mentor or supervisor
• Project work may include all levels of design such as studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration.
• Engineering deliverables include: Block and Process Flow Diagrams, User Requirements Specifications, Equipment List, Equipment General Arrangements, Equipment Datasheets, Utility Summary, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams(P&IDs)
