Job summary

Shaw Bakers is seeking a motivated Junior Process Engineer to join our team. The role begins with a 4-6 month, on-site training program at our equipment manufacturers and multiple U.S. facilities, with potential Europe exposure.

After training, you will be based at one of our cutting-edge facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area. We welcome recent graduates and engineers with 0-5 years experience who are eager to learn, travel, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-growing artisan

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) required.
  • 0 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; recent graduates welcome.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively during the first 4-6 months of employment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in an extensive training program to gain in-depth knowledge of our technology and manufacturing processes.
  • Travel to various manufacturing sites and equipment manufacturers across the U.S. to learn different facets of the manufacturing process.
  • Work closely with experienced engineers and technicians to understand equipment functionality, process flow, and operational needs.
  • Assist in the development and customization of manufacturing equipment to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Upon completion of the training program, apply learned knowledge and skills to contribute to process improvements and innovation in the San Francisco Bay Area facility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability, to implement process improvements and to resolve operational issues.
  • Support the product development and manufacturing teams with the development and implementation of new technologies and systems within the manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute to the training and development of other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Process Engineer to join our team. This role is designed for young engineers with 0 to 5 years of experience who are eager to learn and grow within the manufacturing industry. The selected candidate will undergo an intensive 4-6 month on-site training program at our equipment manufacturers and various manufacturing facilities across the U.S., and potentially also Europe. This role requires full mobility during the training period, after which the engineer will be based in one of our state-of-the-art facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
