Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an entry-level Pricing Analyst I in Greensboro, NC to evaluate pricing in customer value contexts, analyze markets, and support profitability across the division. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement pricing improvements and reporting, helping to shape price levels and discount policies.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, proficiency in Excel/Access, and collaboration with sales/marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Pricing experience including internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficient with Excel and Access.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Project management skills with sales/marketing experience a plus.
• Must maintain pricing information confidential.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to eliminate waste and improve processes.
• Work with other functions in design and implementation of systems and reporting improvements for measuring pricing effectiveness and efficiency.
• Assist in analyzing product markets by determining ceiling and floor prices.
• Evaluate cause and effect with pricing, volume, cost, competition, distribution, and segmentation; recommend levels.
• Monitor and keep divisions focused on strategic pricing initiatives.
• Create and reinforce continuous feedback vehicles to encourage successful pricing models.
• Implement tools to use by product managers and field sales.
• Assist divisions in determining list prices, standard discounts, rebates, and managing price increases.
• Analyze exception pricing process and maintain disciplined guidelines and approvals.
• Provide management with reports on pricing effectiveness and changing market conditions.
