Job summary

Engtal in Dallas–Fort Worth is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to join our growing commercial construction team. This early-career role offers hands-on estimating and preconstruction experience alongside an established group.

You will support the preconstruction process from bid through handoff, gain exposure to a variety of commercial projects, and collaborate with senior estimators and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Internship or field experience with a general contractor is a plus.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity takeoffs, pricing, bid preparation, and scope reviews.
• Review drawings, specifications, and other construction documents.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Assist with bid leveling and scope comparisons.
• Maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships.
• Support conceptual estimates and budget development.
• Participate in preconstruction and project handoff meetings.
• Help maintain historical pricing and estimating databases.
• Work closely with senior estimators, preconstruction managers, and operations teams.
