Job summary

Solyco Capital is seeking a Junior Portfolio Manager for its Solyco Wealth Division in Birmingham, Michigan. This full-time on-site role supports existing investments by monitoring performance, preparing reports, and analyzing metrics across portfolios.

You will assist in evaluations, build financial models, and support trading activities with senior colleagues. You will work with internal stakeholders, contribute to investment committee materials, and help ensure compliance and risk controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools; experience with portfolio management or trading platforms is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitor portfolio performance and prepare regular reports on investments.
• Analyze financial and operational metrics for portfolio companies.
• Assist in investment evaluations and build/maintain financial models.

Role Description: The Junior Portfolio Manager is a part of the Solyco Wealth Division and is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, Michigan. This position supports the management of existing investments by monitoring portfolio company performance, preparing reports, and analyzing financial and operational metrics. The role involves assisting in investment evaluations, building and maintaining financial models, and supporting trading or rebalancing activities within assigned portfolios. The Junior Portfolio Manager will collaborate with senior team members to execute portfolio strategies, contribute to investment committee materials, and help ensure adherence to risk and compliance guidelines. The role also includes regular communication with internal stakeholders and participation in meetings with portfolio company management teams, as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and perform quantitative analysis.
• Candidates should possess solid Finance knowledge and experience with financial modeling, valuation, and corporate financial statements.
• Candidates should possess Portfolio Management capabilities, such as monitoring performance, assessing risk, and supporting allocation decisions.
• Candidates should possess Investments and Trading skills, including familiarity with investment instruments, market dynamics, and execution processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced coursework or progress toward a relevant certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools; experience with portfolio management or trading platforms is beneficial.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly for various stakeholders.
