Job summary

ITCON Services is seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager / Business Analyst to join our team in Virginia. You will work with a program manager, developers, and other project roles to deliver software application development and web projects.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in IT, strong writing and communication skills, and experience with Agile processes. You will assist in planning, tracking, and documenting requirements, while supporting QA and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years in the Information Technology industry.
• 3–5 years combined experience as Junior PM, BA, and Technical Writer.
• Ability to translate functional business requirements into detailed tasks for Design and Development teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Camtasia, and Visio.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite or similar.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality deliverables.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of projects under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare status reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit and document business requirements and workflows.
• Analyze and translate business needs into functional specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Assist in user acceptance testing and validation of implemented solutions.
• Create/Update/Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, API guides, system specifications, and security documentation.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and development teams to gather information for documentation.
• Edit and proofread existing documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
• Ensure documentation adheres to established standards and guidelines.
